3 Tips to Get Rid of Thrips

One of the pests that you may have to deal with is thrips. These tiny bugs are similar to aphids, and they can do a lot of damage. If you have a thrip infestation, there are a few things that you can do to help your plants. Below are three things that you can do to get rid of thrips.

Get Rid of Thrips by Pruning the Damaged Plants

Remove the leaves that have damage from the thrips on them and then put them in the trash. If there’s a plant that’s been infested, you want to quarantine it so that the thrips aren’t going to spread. If you aren’t really attached to your plant, it’s possible that it’s going to need to be thrown away.

Get Rid of Thrips by Cleaning the Affected Plants

Something else you can do is to use water from the hose. Make sure that you’re focusing on the undersides of leaves since that is where thrips gather. If you’re having trouble with thrips inside as well as outside, you can mix 2 teaspoons of dish soap and a gallon of water. Use this solution to saturate your houseplants completely. It’s going to control thrips but not prevent them.

Get Rid of Thrips by Spraying Your Plants Using Pyrethrin
